Aboriginal Warriors

DISCLAIMER

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices or names of deceased persons in photographs, film, audio recordings or printed material.

LEST WE FORGET

I created the Aboriginal Warriors t-shirt to commemorate the Resistance Fighters who fought for Country, culture and our freedom during the Frontier Wars and Black War.

I along with many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel deep pain when ANZAC rolls around each year knowing Australia still does not formally recognise or acknowledge the blood, battle, lives and land that was lost.

In honour of our Ancestors and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ANZACS lest we forget your fight for Country and service.

Our tee pays homage to these remarkable warriors.

Jandamarra

Jandamarra

Jandamarra is a legend of the Bunuba people.

We remember him as a great warrior, and as a clever and courageous leader who defended our country against overwhelming odds. We remember him as a Jalgangurru, a man bestowed with spiritual powers that flowed from the timeless law of our country, who could disappear, transform into a bird and shield himself from deadly weapons.
